Central Football are disappointed to announce the resignation of Fletcher Stewart-Hill from his position as the Gisborne Tairāwhiti Operations Manager.
Fletch joined our team at the beginning of the 2021 season, a time marked by uncertainty and disruption due to the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 and then more recently, the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle to the region. Despite these obstacles, Fletch demonstrated great resolve in navigating the challenges faced by us all working closely with the region's clubs and Council to ensure the smooth operation of competitions at all levels.
Throughout his three-year tenure, Fletch has formed strong relationships within the local football community and earned widespread respect for his contributions.
While he will be departing from his current role, we are confident that Fletch's passion for the game will continue to shine through in his future endeavours within the Gisborne Tairāwhiti region.
Fletch’s last day with Central Football will be Tuesday 23 April 2024 and this does leave us in the unenviable position of not having any staff in the region post that time. We intend to work quickly to resolve this both in the immediate short term and then in the longer term and will endeavour to keep you informed of how this plays out. We do want to take this opportunity to assure the Gisborne Tairawhiti football community that we will be looking at replacing Fletch as soon as we possibly can.
As has been previously communicated to all clubs, your Central Football contacts will be:
In closing, I am sure you will join us in thanking Fletch for his contribution to our game in the region and wishing him all the very best with his future plans.
