Taranaki Duff Rosebowl – Grand Final

Peringa United have taken out the Duff Rosebowl by winning 4-1 over KP Joinery Waitara SC in the Grand Final at Manukorihi Park. In difficult conditions Peringa took the early lead through Player of the Day trophy winner Cody Buck in the 11th minute and headed into the break 1-0 up but the match was still in the balance. Then Peringa struck three times within 17 minutes during the second half, firstly by Cody Buck who completed a brace, Chad Jones and Stephen Alderdice before Waitara got a consolation goal through Brodie Howe from the penalty spot. Peringa had a great season and deserved a major piece of silverware after just missing out on Runners Up in the Premiership plus making it to the Federation Cup Semi Finals.
