JUNIOR/YOUTH FOOTBALL

MEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 9:

On a cold winters evening at the Arena Manawatu Turf Watson Integrity Marist took on ALH Gisborne Thistle. The home side bouncing back from last weeks defeat with a clinical performance thanks to a Hattrick from Mason Charlton as well as a brace from Adam Cowan as they secured a comfortable 6-1 win.

At Taradale Park Shani’s Taradale hosted Bayley’s Palmerston North United. United made it back-to-back wins as they continued their form in front of goal. A Benjamin Mori Hattrick and a Ryan McDermott brace key contributors as the visitors claimed 7-1 win on the road.

WOMEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 7:

Excel Refrigeration Moturoa AFC made it five wins from as many matches with a 5-0 victory over Havelock North. Chantal Williams and Fernanda Toscani picking up braces along the way.

At Memorial Park in Palmerston North One Staff Marist Reserves ran into a rampant Atlas New Plymouth Rangers. Jasmine Burnard-Leppinus with a Hattrick of goals and Sasha Rasmussen with Brace of goals as the Visitors claimed a comfortable 6-0 win as they move into second place on the ladder.  

 

YORB HORIZONS PREMIERSHIP:

At Timona Park Team Lewis Innovation Feilding AFC raced out to an early lead against Wanganui City 1sts thanks to goals from Michael Whitmore and Youngjae Lee. The lead was then extended thanks to Tommi Hart in the 50th minute. Daniel Aplin pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 76th minute to provide hope of a late comeback. However, any chance of the comeback was extinguished in the 84th minute as Tommi Hart got his 2nd of the match to seal a comfortable 4-1 victory fort the hosts.

Levin AFC welcomed Longchill Takaro Jokers to Donnelly Park. A first half Oliver James brace giving the home side a 2-0 lead at the break. An 81st minute strike from Jordan Calder extended the lead for Levin and Takaro were unable to find a response as the match ended 3-0 to the home side.

At the Arena PNBHS 1st XI took on league leaders Advance Electrical Palmerston North United. United went into the break with a 1-0 lead thanks to a 19th minute Anthony Jones goal. The scores were level in the 56th minute when Mahiro Hada equalised for Boys High. The match was evenly poised and looked to be heading for a draw until the 86th minute when Caleb Young found the back of the net to give United the lead which they were able to hold onto and claim a 2-1 win against a determined Boys High side.

 At Skoglund Park Youm Marist Reserves took on GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic Reserves. In what turned out to be a 7-Goal Thriller it was the visitors who claimed a 4-3 win against a determined Marist opponent. Athletic scorers were Joshua Smith, Perry Stewart, Jaskaran Holland, and an Own Goal. Marists Scorers were Lachlan Robinson, Alex Harold, and Jeremy Watson.

Game the round (11):

GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic Reserves welcome PNBHS 1st XI to Wembley Park. 2nd plays 4th and both sides need maximum points from this match to stay in touch with the league leaders. This is sure to be an exciting match.


HORIZONS CHAMPIONSHIP:

At Donnelly Park the Levin AFC Reserves and the Chillmax Takaro Titans played out an exciting encounter. A brace of goals from Ben Watson gave Levin an early lead before a Brogan Hennessy brace levelled the scores at 2-2. A 76th minute Thomas Addy goal proving to be the difference as the Titans held on for a 3-2 win on the road.

At the Arena PNBHS 2nd XI took on Palmerston North United Development. Najibullah Qudsi opened the scoring for United before Simeon Stoyanof doubled their lead in the 69th minute. Luke Radford pulled a goal back for Boys High late in the match, but it was only to be a consolation as united held on to claim a 2-1 win.

Isles Construction Marist Inter and Linton FC went to battle at Skoglund Park. Inter took a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to a 37th minute Max Plouviez goal. Hano Vorster equalised for Linton in the 52nd minute. The match could have gone either way with both sides creating chances however it was Linton who managed to make theirs count and it was Vorster again in the 85th minute picking up his 2nd of the match and securing a deserved 2-1 victory for his Linton Side.

League Leaders Palmerston North United Development welcome Levin AFC Reserves to Massey University for what promises to be a thrilling match.


MANAWATU DIVISION 1:

At Celaeno Park it was goals galore as Red Sox Wrinklies took on Takaro Jhapa United. Wrinklies eventually claiming a 7-5 win in an exciting match. Red Sox Goal scorers were Andrew Roydhouse (3), Sam Lee (2), Brad Spicer, and Kurtis Edwards. Takaro Scorers were Netra Ghimire (2), Ramesh Chhetri, Dipendra, and Muhammad Khairul-Noramin.

At Donnelly Park it was a game of two halves. Levin Colts headed into the break with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Nathan Schischka and Lachlan Trask. The second half though belonged to the visitors as the Chillmax Takaro Rebels with goals from Evan Roberts, Joseph Araya-Lopez, and Marko De Vries they managed to claim a come from behind 3-2 victory.

At Skoglund Park North End Old Boys took on Massey University Good Guys in a clubhouse derby. It was North End who claimed the bragging rights from the clash as they secured a vital 6-2 victory. Goal scorers for North End were James Kelly (3), Cam Dearlove (2), and Izaac Franklin. Masseys Scorers were Jonathan Currie and Michael Hilson.

Game the round (11):

At Celaeno Park it is the Takaro club derby between Chillmax Rebels and Jhapa United. Which team will gain the clubhouse bragging rights here?


MANAWATU DIVISION 2:

Marist Park Rangers hosted Levin Sports at Skoglund Park. The visitors opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Michael Collis. However, the Park Rangers responded swiftly and thanks to a Yaakob Mohamed Hattrick secured a valuable 3-1 win.

At Celaeno Park the Red Sox A’s were 6-3 winners against McDonalds Feilding Development. Red Sox goal scorers were Matthew McCallum (3), Michael Barbour, Guy Mordaunt, and an Own Goal. Fielding’s Scorers were Andrew Cotton, Samuel Wheeler, and Noah Leavesley.

The Mad Butcher Takaro Fury took the lead in the 20th minute against North End Vets thanks to Ayrton Smith. North End equalising in the 62nd minute through Callum Waller before they snatched a last-minute winner thanks to Reuben Corrin to claim a come from behind 2-1 victory.

At Massey University the Rigs and the Dannevirke Rangers played out an entertaining 3-3 draw. Dannevirke’s goal scorers were Jonathan Ryklief, Calder Woodfield, and Peter Sinclair. Masseys Scorers are unknown.

At Celaeno Park the Red Sox Saints continued their winning ways as they accounted for the CAC Marist Greenies 4-0 thanks to goals from Sendiron Enumbi, Samuel Turner, Charlos Wakur, and Reuben Houlahan.

Game the round (11):

Levin AFC Sports welcome the CAC Marist Greenies to Donnelly Park. Both sides are on the same amount of points and will be wanting to claim the points from this match to progress up the table.


MANAWATU DIVISION 3:

JRM Automotive Marist Royals took on Levin AFC Social. The Royals holding on to claim a hard fought 4-3 victory over a determined Levin Side. Marists Goals were scored by Haruki Okamoto (2), Ely Malyo, and Seumus Flanagan. Levin’s Goals were scored by Matthijs Langen, Andrew Yan and an Own Goal.

Red Sox Hustlers and Groombridge Electrical Feilding C Team played out a thriller at Skoglund Park. All the action coming in the second half as Hustlers edged Feilding to claim a 3-2 victory. David Burrows scoring a Hattrick for the Hustlers whilst Fielding’s goals were scored by Cameron Fairless and Luke Groombridge.

Chillmax Takaro Glory and Drillco North End Socials couldn’t be split as they played out an entertaining 3-3 draw. William Chaffe scoring a Hattrick for Takaro. North Ends Scorers Unknown.

Post Office Hotel Pahiatua FC continued their unbeaten form as they edged a determined Takaro Bua 2-1 at the Ashhurst Domain. Mike Napier and Liam Williamson netting for the visitors. Whilst Sharang Sharma was the scorer for Takaro.

Woodville AFC 1sts claimed their 1st win of the season as they accounted for Manawatu Plunderers 3-0 thanks to goals from Cameron Martin, Rodney Leveridge, and Jamie Mason.

 

 

Congratulations to Woodville AFC as this is their first win back in Senior Football for many years well done lads!!!

Game the round (11):

Groombridge Electrical Feilding C Team host the JRM Automotive Marist Royals.  2nd v 3rd and last time these sides met they couldn’t be split. This match is sure to be another close one.


MANAWATU MASTERS DIVISION:

Wanganui Marist Wanderers welcomed the Red Sox Old Boys to Wembley. The home side took an early lead thanks to Brent Scott in the 3rd minute. Chris Hills doubled the lead just after half time. Red Sox then responded with an Adrian Britt strike in the 54th minute followed by Evan Leonard-Jones in the 77th minute. A 90th minute goal from John Greenwood completing the scoring as the Old Boys claimed a come from behind 3-2 win on the road.

In the Marist Derby at Skoglund Park the Banshees raced out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from Rogerio Oliveira. The Masters then drew level thanks to a brace of their own from Rori Moore. Daryl Newsome then gave the Masters the lead for the first time in the 75th minute as it looked like they would claim the victory and bragging rights. However, Adrian Smith had other ideas as he netted for the Banshees in the 86th minute to level things up as the match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

At Celaeno Park MKM Shamrock Rovers hosted Levin Vets. It was the visitors who came out on top in this match as they claimed a 5-1 win on the road thanks to goals from Casey Watson (2), Brent Tucker, Jason Smith, and Callum Henden. Marists Goal scorer was Karl Burns.

At Timona Park Jennian Homes the Feilding United masters and the Red Sox Legends could not be split as they played out a goalless 0-0 draw.

Game the round (11):

At Donnelly Park Levin Vets will take on PN Marist Banshees where they will be looking to avenge their first-round loss. 2nd plays 4th here and this match promises to be another interesting battle.


TEAM ROBINSON MANAWATU WOMEN’S

Massey University Women’s Reserves welcomed Chapple Architecture Marist Mayhem to the University. Broke Argyle gave Mayhem the lead with a long-range strike in the 28th minute. Massey equalised just after half time with a well taken headered goal by Samantha Bolton. Mayhem once again took the lead in the 75th minute when Brooke Argyle claimed her 2nd of the match with a contender for goal of the season as Mayhem held on to claim a 2-1 win against a determined Massey side.

At Donnelly Park Levin AFC were able to secure a 2-0 victory against LJ Contracting Takaro Avengers thanks to goals from Kirsty Kiri and Rebekah Sinclair.

Tranzit Marist Mysteries went to battle with Rosco’s Bulk Yard Feilding Women. It was the visitors who came out on top in this match with a 3-0 victory. Goals coming from Pamela Clough, Sarah Norman, and an Own Goal.

In the Marist Derby at Hokowhitu Park the Isles Construction Development claimed bragging rights with a 9-0 victory over the Gree Evergreenz. Goal Scorers for Development Lisa Ford (4), Amber Mahoney (2), Christina Trewhitt, and Isabella Yarwood.

Also, at Hokowhitu Park Chillmax Takaro X-Force made a statement with a convincing 13-0 victory over the Massey University Golden Girls. Goal Scorers for Takaro were Maria Gurney (3), Kowhai Eynon-Hudson (3), Waimereni Hudson (3), Shenisia Gounden (2), Renee Scott, and Zoe Adams.

Takaro AFC Harlequins and Dannevirke Valkyrie played out an exciting match at Hokowhitu Park. Dannevirke took the lead early in the match thanks to a brace of goals from Elizabeth Laws. Harlequins then responded with a Hattrick of goals from Sarah Kurton as they took the lead just before half time. Neither side were able to add the score sheet in the 2nd half and Harlequins were able to hold on to claim their 1st win of the season 3-2.

At Timona Park Rosco’s Bulk Yard Feilding Women’s host Isles Construction Marist Development. Both sides are heading into this match in winning form and will be looking to continue their good form here in this match.
