Central Football are delighted to announce that Steve Hoyle will be joining the organisation as the Community Development Officer for Hawke's Bay.
Currently, Steve holds the position of Women's Director of Football and women's first team coach at Eastern Suburbs AFC in Auckland. With over eight years of coaching and player development experience, Steve has made significant contributions to various clubs and Federation roles. He is currently awaiting confirmation of his A Licence coaching badge.
Leon Birnie, Central Football's Community Development Manager, is excited to have Steve join the Development team. "I am thrilled that we have been able to secure someone as well regarded as Steve for this role. His experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm will add significantly to our Development team and bring a new level of excitement to the Hawkes Bay region, and I can't wait to see the impact he will have across the Federation."
Steve, who has previously lived in Hawkes Bay, is looking forward to returning to the region, saying “My partner and I have been wanting to get back to Hawkes Bay for a while now and this opportunity came up that I couldn’t refuse. I am passionate about the development of kiwi players and the game in New Zealand and I’m really looking forward to getting into the role in the New Year”.
Steve will begin his role based in Napier in early 2024, and we are excited to see the positive influence he will undoubtedly have on our organisation.
