The match of the round between Bayleys Palmerston North United and Landmark Homes HNW was low scoring but WOW did it have some finish! Havelock in their first showing back in the league were impressive in possession and found the opener through Jack Sanko in the 39th minute taking that lead into the break. The second half would remain scoreless until a 90th + 6 minute corner, in which all including the Palmy United keeper up for it, saw Nathan Cooksley get up and head one in at the back post to snatch a point for the home side. Honours even at the end of the game 1-1.

NZ Forestry Services Peringa United vs Shani’s Taradale AFC

Taradale have been in good form to start the season, sitting top of the table with a perfect start. They will travel to Taranaki to face Peringa in their first home game of the season.

 

HB Womens Div 1 

HNW Village Insurance took on Quality Pumping Port Hill Women’s Prems this weekend. It was Mia Thompson-Gray who opened the scoring, slotting in a goal in the 25th minute. Elise Horne scored next to take the score to 2-0 at the break for Port Hill. Myra Tubb scored early in the second half, taking the score to 3-0. Both sides fought hard but it was Port Hill who took the win on the day 3-0.

In this week's match of the round Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Development took on Westshore Beach Inn Eskview Whites. It was development who opened the scoring in the first half managing to net 5 goals before the break thanks too; Lexi Kettle, Abi Fitzgerald, Johanna Scholz and Katie Scales (2). Development got one more goal in the second half from Natasha Goodall in the 49th minute. Taking the score to 6-0 and Development taking the win.

Falcon Electrical Taradale AFC took on Liquid Gold Maycenvale Utd AFC. Max Fysh opened the scoring in the 21st minute and was closely followed by a goal from Jett Hogg. Taking the score to 2-0 at the break. Taradale were the first to score in second half with Simon Stallard scoring in the 58th minute. Maycenvale got one back thanks to an own goal in the 76’ minute. However, Taradale took the win 3-1 on the day.

HB Mens Championship 

HNW Cole Murray Reserves took on Burger Fuel Port Hill Utd Reserves. Port Hill had the lead in the first half, netting two goals before the break thanks too, Matthew Betesta, and Luke Posthumus. HNW came out hungry in the second half scoring the first goal in the 48th minute thanks to Ben Colman. Ben put away two more goals in the half to complete his hat trick taking the score to 3-2. Port Hill equalized late to end the game 3-3.

Westshore Beach Inn Eskview United took on Completebuild Taradale Vikings. Both sides are coming off tight losses in round one. Eskview opened the scoring in the first half putting away two goals in the first 20minutes, thanks to Brandon Duncan and Sultan Alhabsi. Taradale didn’t give up though leveling the score before the break. With goals from Conor Rhodes and Logan Hutchinson.  Both sides fought hard for the win, but it was Mitchell McKenzie who got the final goal of the match in the 72nd minute and took the win 3-2 for his side. Westshore won 3-2.

However, Western rangers got one back shortly after. The sides went goal for goal until a goal in the last minutes of the match from Jacob Irvine-Robinson took the win for Marewa at 3-2.
