Congratulations to our first Valuable Volunteer winner for 2024 - Duncan Muir

Originally from Gisborne Duncan has been an integral part of the Palmerston North Marist Football Club for many years. Duncan plays for the Marist Greenies and has helped many teams as a player and coach throughout his time at the club. He is Currently the Women’s first team manager and Goalkeeping coach; he is responsible for the club’s media engagement and assists with the design of both the Men’s and Women’s 1^st team programmes. Duncan is on the committee and is also the clubs gear steward. Duncan also has a passion in the Futsal Space and has been a huge part in the clubs first National League campaign where he was the Women’s team manager this year. Duncan has been awarded the clubs contribution award several times and it is not difficult to see why.

Duncan also is a Volunteer for Central Football and has been involved as a Goalkeeping Coach for the FTC programme and has been the Goalkeeping Coach for the Central Women’s National League side for the last 5 seasons. 

Duncan is a Legend the Manawatu Footballing Community and is this month’s Valuable Volunteer.
