Peggy Gordons NP Rangers vs Watson Integrity PN Marist FC
It was some game at Merrilands Domain as those in attendance were treated to a spectacle with a seven thriller including a number of turns along the way. You can be sure that both sides, their management and those in attendance felt a number of emotions during the game. It was the home side who got the scoring underway via Niall Leggett in the 32nd minute. Goals to Adam Cowan and Luke Palfreyman had Palmy Marist ahead at the break though. Another goal a-piece, a minute apart had Palmy Marist ahead heading towards the 90th minute before Tre De John scored to bring the scores level at three-all in the 89th minute, at the time thinking they had gained a point. It wasn’t to be as Zachary Farmer in 90+7 banged in a winner for the travelling side. Valuable points for Palmy keeping them three points behind leaders PNU.

Excel Refrigeration Moturoa hosted Manawatu Knitting Mills Palmerston North Marist FC a battle of 5th vs 4th. The games started with a hiss and a roar with chances coming at either end but it was Palmerston North Marist who capitalised on one of those chances to break the deadlock midway through the first half. The rest of the first half was back and forth with no team really gaining the upper hand. The second half saw Moturoa start the better of the 2 teams creating chances to score shortly after half time but they were unable to find the back of the net. The game took a turn when the Palmerston North Marist keeper was sent off for bringing down the striker one on one. Moturoa were unable to find an equaliser and make the most of the advantage they had for the last 20 minutes and the visiting side able to hang on for the 3 points.
