
This month's Central Football Valuable Volunteer for Tairawhiti is Lizzie Hall, currently of Wainui SC.
Lizzie has coached at all levels of football, from junior to national age groups. Many young players, especially girls, have great memories of working with her.
She's a big advocate for creating opportunities for female players in the region. Lizzie goes above and beyond to support young talent, bringing them into her team and even helping them get to National Women's and Youth league trials.
"I want to help develop the game here in Gisborne and have a better pathway for the girl's game. I'm passionate about the sport and want to help players achieve there goals. " said Hall.
You can still catch Lizzie on the field every weekend, playing, coaching, refereeing, and cheering on local teams. She's a driving force in improving women's football in Tairawhiti.
Currently, Lizzie is the player coach for Gisborne Laundry Services Wainui Riverina at Wainui. She's been with the club for five years and has even taken the team to tournaments outside the district to give younger players a taste of what's out there.
Lizzie's passion for the sport shines through in everything she does. She's dedicated to helping players achieve their goals and developing the game in Gisborne. Lizzie is a true legend in the football community of the Tairawhiti region.
