Chatham Cup 2025

This week saw New Zealand’s Mens premier knock out cup competition kick off with the regional preliminary round of the Chatham Cup.

Kate Sheppard Cup 2025

This week saw New Zealand’s Women’s premier knock out cup competition kick off with the preliminary round of the Kate Sheppard Cup. Both Taradale AFC and Palmerston North had byes this round so move on to the next round.

 

Men’s Central League 2

A goal in the 12th minute to Jonny McNamara saw Langley Twigg Taradale AFC make the ideal start to their trip to Memorial Park when the faced Palmerston North United. Taradale then doubled their lead when Thomas Hall converted from the penalty spot giving the vistiors a 2 goal lead at the half time break. The second half saw Zac Madsen grab a brace in the opening 15 minutes of the second half to give the visitors a 4 goal lead. Jaxon Bron got Palmerston North United on the board with a constellation goal in the 75th minute. 4-1 the final score to Langley Twigg Taradale AFC

This week Suchy & Co Realty Ltd FC Western welcome Douglas Villa AFC Badcock Law Magpies up to Stadium Taranaki for the opening of the newly revamped stand. With both teams coming off 1 nil losses they will be looking to bounce back. This encounter is set to be a tight affair as both teams try to keep pace with league leaders Lower Hutt City AFC.

 

Women’s Central League

It was a close and tense first half when Excel Refrigeration Moturoa hosted Waterside Karori Middleware with the opening goal to Karori’s Sherize Concessio in the 40th minute to give the visitors a 1 nil  lead into the half time break.  The second half saw another 2 quick goals to Taylor Cooper and Nicola Ross saw Karori’s lead grow to 3. Moturoa’s Tia Christiansen cut lead down to 2 but the game was put out of reach when Kate Mills restored Waterside Karori’s 3 goal lead late on to see the visitors take the game 4-1.

This week sees Manawatu Knitting Mills PN Marist welcome the Wellington Phoenix Academy U18 to the arena turf in what looks to be a fast paced game. Both teams will be looking to trust their solid defenses while PN Marist will be hoping to clinical in front of goal as their opponents have shows little trouble in find the back of the net themselves.

 

Federation Cup 2025

FC Western opened the scoring through Matt Lamb in the 16th minute  when they travelled up the road to Onuku Taipari Domain to take on TSH Moturoa. Tyson Dellow then double the visitors lead when he found his way on to the scoresheet before half time. After half time Tyler Webber pulled a goal back for the home side. With both teams looking to score again it was again Dellow who scored to maintain FC Western’s 2 goal lead that would be enough to see them take the game 3-1 and on to the next round.

It was a scoreless first half when Cunningham Construction Kaitake FC travel down to Play Hawera Kitchen Ltd Hawera FC. The second half saw Jimmy Bevington put Kaitake in the lead mid way through the second half before Simon Wilkes made sure the home team took a point out of the game when he levelled the score in second half injury time.
