PN Marist’s struggles in front of goal continued as they were unable to beat Phoenix Keeper Harriet Muller as the Wellington Phoenix Academy took the game 2-0.

In this week's game of the round, we had Peggy’s Gordon’s NP Rangers AFC taking on NP Physiotherapy at Stadium Taranaki. This was expected to be a tight, tactical affair between two Taranaki rivals. The first goal wouldn't arrive until the 32nd minute thanks to FC Western’s Matthew Sanger. This goal would give FC Western a slender 1-0 lead at halftime. The second half continued very much as the first did. Both sides shared opportunities with no team taking real control of the game. With the game nearing the end Flynn Whitaker stepped up in the 85th minute to give FC Western that crucial second goal. Rangers would not give up however, managing to get one back from Logan Smith to create a frantic finish. Unfortunately for them time would be their enemy as FC Western would hang on to take a tight 2-1 victory.

It was a hotly contested encounter when Millwards Roofing FC Western hosted Charrua Kaponga SC at Lynmouth Park which was to be expected between two teams looking to win the league this year. The visitiors struck first through Alejandro Eschmann in the 27th minute before Alex Best levelled it up again 4 minutes later to see the teams unable to be separated at the break. The second half saw FC Western hit the lead for the first time when Tallen Cottam found the back of the net midway through the second half. 6 minutes before time Eschmann brough the scores level with his second of the day. However Joseph Crowe won the game for FC Western when he scored 2 minutes later to see FC Wester Stay top of the table after 4 games.

Next round sees Novotel Woodleigh FC who are looking for a bit more consistency after an up and down start to the season travel across town to Merrilands Domain to take on NP Rangers Old Boys who are looking to keep pace with the early league leaders FC western and Waitara SC.
Taranaki Division 3
Goals inside the opening 7 minutes to Abdalilah Ahmed and Daniel Clark saw Peringa United Social off to the perfect start when they hosted Rob Mason Electrial Group Woodleigh FC. The goals continued to flow with Kurt Biesiek and Tyler Clarges both getting onto the score sheet midway through the first half to give Peringa a 4-0 lead at the break. The second half continued in the same vein as the first with Biesiek grabbing his second of the day not long after half time. 10 minutes later Shahil Singh scored to make the margin 6 midway through the second half. Kurt Biesiek rounded out his hattrick when he once again found the back of the net in the 67th minute before Daniel Clark grabbed his second of the day. Woodleigh’s Jon Rimmer’s goal late on saw Woodleigh hit the scoresheet as well. But it was too little too late and Peringa United Socials ran out comfortable 8-1 winners on the day.

It was one way traffic when Kaitake Womens visited Sutherland Park to take on the Woodleigh Women. Liz Walkin opened the scoring in the 6th minute before Kelsey Husband scored twice in the space of 9 minutes, Emily Faragasso then got her name of the score sheet in the 28th minute before Husband score 2 more goals just before the half to make it 6 nil at the break. The second half saw more of the same as Walklin beat the keeper twice more to give herself 3 for the game. Tiffany Yule was the next kaitake player to find the net before Husband wrapped it up with 2 more goal and 6 for the game.
